Southeast Asia Globe, founded in 2007, quickly became recognized for its commitment to quality independent journalism. Underscored by in-depth and visually engaging content, we have developed into a leading voice on Southeast Asian politics and current affairs, business, society and culture.

Based in Phnom Penh, the exciting capital of Cambodia, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated applicants to join our energetic and diverse team.


1. Editorial internships
We have internships available on a rolling basis, each lasting six months, although individual circumstances can be considered. Ideally, you have a degree and/or experience in journalism/media/content management systems or web design, and are fluent in written and spoken English.

2. Magazine archival internship  (for advanced journalism or communication students)
We are looking for a media and communication student who is interested in helping us to digitize our legacy content from the early years of Southeast Asia Globe magazine. You will be working 3-4 hours a day in our office on Street 294 in Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh.

The position is available immediately.

Very good understanding of English
Punctual and reliable
Detail-orientated and well organised
Understanding of editorial content
Experience with digital workflows is a plus.

What to expect:
Working times Monday – Friday
Free scheduling: you decide when you work your daily time
An hourly compensation
The overall project duration should not exceed three months
An opportunity to join our team as a junior journalist after project completion.
